But then I do something like read the news, and see that the following statement constitutes a headline: “Court rules secret wiretaps violate rights.”
Oh. My. God. We live in a day and age in America when someone actually having the gall to declare that secret wiretaps violate rights is headline material. No shit sherlock. Yes, it’s true. Secret wiretaps violate rights. Joe Lieberman is not George Bush (and nor is he made of wax).The Easter Bunny is not real. And there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
In another stunning yet unrelated bit of journalistic masterwork, the media is now boldly reporting that the media said stuff: “N.Korea might be preparing nuclear test: media.”
Fantastic. I think I’ll title my next post “Diane had a mediocre day: Diane.” Blarg.
