About Diane

Hi, my name is Diane. I’m an artist / writer / computer geek / physics enthusiast living in Chicago, IL. I’m currently a graduate student, earning my Master’s in Education, with designs on becoming a high school physics teacher.

I enjoy black sweaters, expensive artist’s papers, crossword puzzles, NPR, an imaginary and occasionally belligerent pantheon of frogs and cows and sheep and meeps, and, of course, my husband Scott.

I do not enjoy the Religious Right, Cubs game traffic, turnips and commercial television. Before coming to Chicago, I went to college at SUNY Binghamton and grew up in Utica, NY, but not necessarily in that order.

The formative events in my life were a coming-of-age summer in Puerto Rico, the month of September 2001, the long and incredibly rewarding process of second-family-accumulation surrounding my wedding, and the decision to to go back to school to become a teacher.

I am a raving feminist, a liberal, and a vegetarian. In my spare time, I write drivel for this web site.
